Designing and Specifying Adapted Bathrooms
This course focuses on how adapted bathrooms are designed and specified.
You’ll learn about the key components that make up a wetroom adaptation, including:
• Wall coverings
• Flooring
• Shower bases
• Screens and curtains
• Shower units
• Basins and taps
• Toilets
• Heating
• Lighting
• Ventilation
• Doorways
The goal is to help installers understand why these design choices matter, and how they affect safety, accessibility, cost, and long-term performance.
Even if you’re experienced at fitting bathrooms, understanding the principles behind adaptation design is essential when working in this sector.
This course focuses on the Academy Bathrooms installation methodology, not basic trade training.
Installers who do not already have bathroom fitting experience may not benefit from this course.
